Synthetic networks have no relation to the actual electric grid in their geographic location, thus they contain no confidential information and pose no security concern. This video is made using a 2000 bus test case built on the footprint of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. A contingency event with a three-phase transmission line fault, followed by line tripping, is considered. Voltage variations are shown with and without the application of power system stabilizers.
