Texas Synthetic Grid – 6716 Buses

This 6716-bus synthetic network covers the geographic footprint of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and serves 74 GW of peak load across the majority of the U.S. state of Texas. This case is synthetic and does not model the actual grid. The case includes power flow data as well as economic and transient stability models. The case is provided in PowerWorld format, including binary (PWB/PWD), PowerWorld auxiliary text format, Matpower format, PSS/E raw format, and PSLF epc format. More about the data formats.

The case is associated with the DOE Perform Program.

Please contact Adam Birchfield (abirchfield@tamu.edu) for any questions regarding this case. The references for this case can be found here.
