Texas Combined Electric-Gas Test Case

This dataset contains a test case for a large-scale, synthetic system modeling the combined electric grid and natural gas pipeline system geo-located on the U.S. state of Texas. In total, it has 6717 electric buses and 2459 natural gas nodes. The electric system is supplied in a variety of common formats, and the gas system is supplied in a human-readable JSON format, with annotations to link the relevant demand nodes to electric substations. This dataset is fictitious (synthetic) and does not contain CEII.

For now, the following reference for this dataset is appropriate:

Y. Abu-Khalifa and A. B. Birchfield, ā€œTechniques for creating synthetic combined electric and natural gas transmission grids,ā€ in IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, to appear 2023.
